Bella Nguyen, DDS

Dr. Khanh Bella Nguyen comes to us most recently from the University of California San Francisco, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. During her years of training in California, she labored in many volunteer and leadership roles including the Community Dental Clinic for the Homeless in San Francisco, dental screenings at local elementary schools, and public health fairs through Children’s Health Hut. She also worked with dental residents and dentists at Shasta Community Health Center and Eastmont Wellness Center in Oakland to provide dental care to underserved populations.

However, Bella’s life in California is just part of her story. Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Vietnam. Bella made her way to the United States when she was 17 to attend the University of Connecticut, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology as well as Physiology and Neurobiology.

Today, Dr. Nguyen is continually educating herself on the newest dental techniques and takes great pride in partnering with patients to help them achieve a lifetime of excellent oral health. She focuses on providing comfort and patient care for all ages, while taking her time to explain treatment options in a way that patients can understand. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Virginia Dental Association, and Tidewater Dental Association.

While she has enjoyed living in different parts of the world, she and her husband moved to Norfolk to put down roots near family, and we are thrilled to have her join us at East Beach Dental. When she’s not busy at the office, Dr. Nguyen can be found with her husband hiking, exploring different parts of the world, and taking advantage of all the natural beauty East Coast has to offer.

Kelly King, MD

Dr. King has been working with Botox and facial fillers for more than 18 years. His work is not just about cosmetic value, but about helping his patients achieve overall good health. He treats patients who suffer from TMJ and Bruxism (teeth grinding), which in turn, helps alleviate related sleep problems. He is also an expert at knowing how and where to use Botox to rebuild a firm foundation for the teeth and gums as we age. He helps Dr. Sheta maintain beautiful and healthy smiles through all the stages of a patient’s life.

Dr. King has a wonderful way of explaining procedures to patients, taking his time with each person so that they know what to expect and whether a treatment will prove beneficial to them. He is a resident of East Beach, and loves his work and his community. We’re pretty fond of him too.

Nicole Nilla
Office Manager

It’s the details that make our office so inviting, and all those details are held together and kept in motion by our incredible Office Manager, Nikki. Nikki makes sure that everything from our patient schedule down to our beverage chiller is ready for each day, handles our payroll, manages the front desk and jumps in wherever we have a need to keep everything running smoothly.

A self-proclaimed “Military Brat,” Nikki learned the value of commitment, hard work, and flexibility at a young age, moving with her family all over the world for her father’s assignments. One of Nikki’s first jobs was in Turkey, where she helped manage a military office. This combined with her other roles in event planning, insurance claims, and quality assurance have uniquely qualified Nicole for running our Dental practice.

Nikki is a mother of four boys – two teenagers and two toddlers – which only adds to her ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules and people. Our office Newlywed, she loves spending time with her family, listening to live music (her husband is a great guitarist, after all), and learning new things. She likes to stay active and exercise when she’s not busy volunteering with her children’s school or with Norfolk Admirals Hockey.
